Biography

Ukrainian film director and screenwriter. He graduated from the Film Studies and Directing Departments (in Mykola Mashchenko’s workshop) of the Kyiv Karpenko-Kary Theatre Institute. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Recipient of the Order of Merit, 3rd Class. Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine. Head of the Ukrainian Oscar Committee. Participant and laureate of national and international film festivals. Worked at the Dovzhenko Film Studios.
